Arrhenius "Summary concering Pottery" beskrivs godstypen:
"(B) Coarse ware sparsely interspersed with coarse-grained richly quartiziferous sand. Grinding tests show a grey-black inner core with somewhat lighter edges. The grains of the admixture are of the same size as in type A, but occur more sparsely.The grain density of the admixture of the type example was on average about 5 per sguare centimetre. The grains of the admixtture are clarly distinguishable in the surface of the ware, in which crakformations can often be observed around the individual admixture grains. " se fig. 131.
Definitionen är med andra ord ett gods med normal andel av grovkornig magring.
