Lower horizon of R1544. Ash mixed through with earth and stone. Bottomed at c1. 70m. Interpreted as the bottom of a Stolpe dug hole. At the base stratigraphy is revealed. It slopes to the NNE and is ash with charcoal, earth and more ash lenses and surfaces. Patchy. Some iron slag in large lumps in this matrix. There is also grey sticky earth with compressed, broken and wet bone.
