The fill contains medium sized and very large stone in a matrix of black granular soil which is pebbly in part. It contains pockets of disturbed clayey ash, especially along the edges of the cut, and much bone including cattle, pig, fish and bird, and some charcoal. Finds include bone pins, steatite, iron, cu-alloy, a whetstone and beads. A soil sample has been taken.
