Dark grey layer with small spots of mixed grey ash, some small pieces and thin small lenses of coal. Many bones. No wood. Included some small stones and gravel, but no real constructions. Seemed to be rather soft. Covered the fire- place in the right part of the area. Here there where a lot of burnt stones and lenses of coal in the bottom part of the layer. In the left part one can see the floor level corresponding to this fireplace. But the floor wasn't cleaned with coal spots which covered the ash floor. Maybe R1413 corresponds to R1406 (S74) in the nearest part of of the dich (?). The layer looks very similar but lacks wood.
